Our essential oils are obtained by distillation of aromatic plants from Madagascar. The unique terroir of the Island gives these plant extracts an exceptional concentration in active ingredients.
Floribis accompanies this valorization of the flora of Madagascar by carrying out actions of reforestation and nature conservation, and collaborates closely with local peasant associations.

At Floribis,we are delighted to share the benefits of “lettuce leaf basil” – Ocimum basilicum L. var. for botanists – with our customers. The basil essential oil provided in our 5 ml tinted glass vial comes from the steam distillation of the flowering tops of a plant cultivated in the north-western part of Madagascar. This oil with a fresh and herbaceous flavour releases spicy and aniseed notes. It is 100% pure and natural.
From fields to vials, Floribis combines technology with nature to make the most of this plant. Floribis makes it possible for its customers to enjoy the virtues of Psiadia altisima (DC.) Called “kininim-potsy” in Malagasy language, this tree is found almost all over the island from North to Southeast through the highlands. Steam distillation of the leaves is performed in order to obtain this essence with a fresh and very round scent.
